Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a well-established law firm’s litigation support team in Sarasota, FL. The role is direct hire and full-time, with an onsite work arrangement and a strong focus on case preparation, discovery, and trial readiness.

You will support attorneys through all phases of litigation, manage records and deadlines, and coordinate with expert witnesses in a collaborative professional environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of law firm experience.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in litigation environments.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, records management, and trial support.
  • Review, organize, summarize, and maintain legal records and discovery materials.
  • Draft subpoenas, records requests, and other litigation documents.
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses, schedule IMEs, and track deadlines.

Job Summary

A well-established law firm in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its litigation support team on a direct hire basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with law firm experience who enjoys managing complex case files, organizing critical records, supporting attorneys, and contributing to successful litigation outcomes.

The Paralegal will work in a collaborative, professional environment with attorneys and legal team members who value accuracy, responsiveness, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, records management, and trial support.
  • Review, organize, summarize, and maintain legal records, medical records, discovery materials, and case documents.
  • Draft subpoenas, records requests, correspondence, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses, schedule IMEs, track key deadlines, and ensure case materials are complete and organized.
  • Prepare exhibits, review opposing party documents, and assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy support.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment while maintaining accurate and timely work product.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage litigation case files, legal records, discovery materials, and deadlines.
  • Draft subpoenas, records requests, legal correspondence, and litigation support documents.
  • Coordinate expert witnesses, IMEs, exhibits, and trial preparation materials.
  • Support attorneys with document review, case organization, and trial readiness.
  • Minimum 3 years of law firm experience.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in a litigation environment.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, litigation processes, and case workflows.
  • Strong document management, records organization, and file management skills.
  • Excellent typing, computer proficiency, and ability to work with legal documents efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce accurate work product.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, experts, and external parties.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field.
  • Litigation paralegal experience.
  • Insurance defense experience.
  • Medical malpractice defense experience.
  • Trial preparation experience.
  • Experience coordinating expert witnesses and IMEs.
  • Experience with legal case management software.
