Qualifikationen

• Must be eligible or have a valid Paraprofessional Permit by ParaPro/Para Pathways, or 60 college credits/Associate's degree.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Background check and no Child Protection Registry entries in Delaware.
• Knowledge of working with students with disabilities.
• Ability to assist with physical positioning and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Complete Level 1 training by June 1st of the contract year.
• Ability to work with students, staff and families with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications and related tech tools.

Aufgaben

• Support delivery of designed instruction for students individually or in small groups.
• Assist with implementing IEPs and BIPs after training by certified staff.
• Observe, document and report student progress and behavior to supervising staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support instructional strategies.
• Assist with community-based instruction and student independence.
• Prepare learning environments and materials, and maintain classroom organization.
• Support safe movement and transitions within the building.
• Assist with related services and accommodations as directed by therapists or specialists.
• Attend parent conferences and IEP meetings as appropriate.
