Job summary

The Colonial School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Mathematics to provide high-quality instruction for students with disabilities at William Penn High School. This role requires valid Delaware certification and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid State of Delaware certification as Secondary Mathematics and Teacher of Exceptional Children K-12.
• Acceptable Criminal Background Report and no entries on Child Protection Registry in the State of Delaware.
• Successful completion of required Praxis II tests required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student assessments.
• Design and deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and IEP implementation.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Master's degree preferred
