Job summary

Colonial School District in Delaware is seeking a paraeducator for Southern Elementary School. You will assist teachers, implement curriculum aligned with CCSS, and help deliver instruction to a student or group of students to maximize learning.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a ParaPro permit or higher, or 60 college credits. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work a 10-month year, and complete required trainings and background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional Permit or equivalent (ParaPro) required or 60 college credits.
• Experience with students in classroom setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support/serve students remotely and in person as needed.
• Assist in implementing IEP goals and delivering instruction.
• Maintain an orderly environment and gather materials for daily activities.
• Assist with safe student movement and routine paperwork.
• Participate in parent conferences and IEP planning as appropriate.
• Uphold confidentiality of student information and school policies.
