Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital is seeking a capable PAR Program coordinator to support division leadership and physicians. The role focuses on organizing processes, problem-solving, and coordinating events within hospital operations.

Candidates should have strong office management experience, supervisory skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred Associate degree and hospital experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Three years general office or secretarial experience including one year of mid-level management support.
  • One year office supervisory experience in hospital setting preferred.
  • Experience with major project management and planning.
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills; data management/analysis understood.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an organized process for the PAR Program with division physicians and leadership.
  • Serve as the primary problem-solving resource for faculty and division leadership.
  • Maintain knowledge of benefit eligibility, provisions and precertification procedures.
  • Coordinate PAR Program events and meetings with administrative staff and division leadership.
  • Coordinate faculty physician activities, complete forms and requisitions, monitor program progress.
  • Maintain scheduling and clinical databases, identify and correct errors.
  • Identify potential process and data integrity issues and report them.
  • Provide service-oriented support with a focus on innovation, service excellence and teamwork.
  • Provide cross-coverage for throughput and collaborate effectively with team members.
