Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a program coordinator to support the PAR Program, collaborating with division physicians and leadership to improve patient care and service delivery.

The role maintains scheduling systems, coordinates events and workflow, and ensures data integrity while providing cross-coverage to sustain throughput and service excellence in a busy pediatric hospital.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years general office or secretarial experience that includes one year of mid-level management support
  • One (1) year office supervisory experience in a hospital office setting strongly preferred
  • Experience with major project management and planning
  • Excellent leadership skills, ability to work with teams, excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, analytical ability, understanding of data management and data analysis
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to operate standard office equipment (examples: photocopy machine, facsimile machine, calculator, etc.). Ability to type at least 40 wpm is preferred.

  • Maintains the scheduling and clinical database; identifies and corrects errors.
  • Recognizes and reports potential problems in processes, workflow, system design, and data integrity.
  • Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
  • Provides cross coverage amongst the division in overall surgery program throughput. Collaborates effectively with team members.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred or equivalent educational courses.
  • Three (3) years general office or secretarial experience that includes one year of mid-level management support required. Hospital experience preferred.

Pay Range

$24.00-$39.24 Hourly
