The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of pantry prep experience, and a solid understanding of food safety and storage procedures. English communication is required and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant kitchen experience.
• At least 1–3 months of hands-on kitchen or pantry prep experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English (as needed for safety, communication, and training).
• A collaborative attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of cold dishes including salads, appetizers, sandwich fillings, and other pantry items in line with production plans or forecasted needs.
• Work efficiently with whole food products, minimizing waste wherever possible.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in all prep and storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with the Chef or Supervisor about equipment issues, shortages, or overages.
• Receive, store, wrap, date, and rotate food products according to safety and freshness standards.
• Requisition supplies and manage daily pantry inventory as needed.
• Follow all safe food handling and work practices.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
