Job summary

Met Council in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Pantry Case Worker for the Boro Park Food Program to oversee client communications at the pantry, using the organization’s digital system to manage emergency food packages and inventory.

The role requires on-site work, strong customer service, excellent time management, and familiarity with local community groups; occasional weekend/evening availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pantry/food program experience.
• Fluent in English; Yiddish or Hebrew preferred.
• Knowledge of Kashrut laws.
• Ability to work on-site in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client communications and order processing at the Brooklyn pantry.
• Manage ordering, packing, and inventory control of emergency food packages.
• Assist clients with orders and address market inquiries.
• Supervise pantry volunteers and provide guidance.
