Job summary

The Salvation Army in Green Bay, WI is seeking a part-time Food Pantry Coordinator to manage food distribution, assist with the noon lunch program, and oversee commodity programs, ensuring smooth operations and compassionate service.

You will supervise pantry volunteers, maintain inventory, coordinate with donors and vendors, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with health codes and safety standards; prior kitchen experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 years experience in food services working with large groups and inventory management.
• Certifications: ServSafe Certification within 60 days of hire; valid Wisconsin driver’s license; First Aid, CPR and AED certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pantry operations, including commodities and inventory; supervise pantry volunteers and complete related reports.
• Coordinate with the Director of Social Services and Corps Officer for food drives and program needs.
• Assist with the noon lunch program: plan, prepare and serve meals; supervise volunteers.
• Maintain budgets and spending accountability for food service programs; manage health codes and kitchen licensing.
• Prepare, label and store food and supplies; ensure safety and sanitation in kitchen and pantry areas.
• Coordinate schedule with Food Services staff to ensure full coverage Monday through Friday; cover duties during vacations.
