Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana is seeking a Palliative Care RN to provide compassionate, holistic care for patients with serious illness, guiding families through treatment options and care decisions.

You will coordinate across primary, specialty, hospice, home health, and community resources, educate patients and families, triage calls, and support advance care planning, with a Monday-Friday schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice with compact license transfer within 60 days of employment.
• BSN from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and serve as a navigator for palliative care patients and their families.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and available resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate with providers to support symptom management plans.
• Triage patient and family calls, questions, and care concerns.
• Coordinate services across primary care, specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the patient's healthcare journey.
