Job summary

Sysco Portland is seeking a Warehouse Associate to hand-build pallets and load them onto trailers following standard procedures. You will read pick sheets, select products, and label items to ensure accurate shipments.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, maintaining a clean, safe warehouse, and communicating issues to management. A high school diploma and 6 months of warehouse experience are preferred, with forklift certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 6 months warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification/licensing required.

Responsibilities

• Reads pick sheets and travels to correct warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
• Picks product type and quantity, labels items, and loads pallets onto trucks.
• Builds pallets according to safety standards to minimize damage.
• Maintains clean, safe warehouse; reports spills or damages.
• Communicates issues to management (out-of-stocks, safety concerns).
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners safely per standards.
• Reports equipment issues; keeps time-tracking with wearable device.
• Maintains regular attendance and OT as workload requires.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
