Job summary

KI in Green Bay is seeking a full-time Paintline Technician for the 2nd shift. You will hang parts on the paint line, apply powder coat, perform color changes, and support assembly cells to meet schedules. The 2nd shift includes a $2.00/hour differential, plus a $1.00/hour raise within the first year.

You should be mechanically inclined, able to work as part of a team, and willing to learn. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing in a warm environment; manufacturing experience is a

• Mechanically inclined with manufacturing experience a plus.
• Willingness to learn and be trained on any shift.

Responsibilities

• Hang hooks and parts on the Paint line following identified priorities.
• Manually apply powder paint to production parts.
• Perform paint color changeovers.
• Tape parts coming down from the line to prevent scratches.
• Inspect & pack parts off the line and assist in assembly if necessary.
• Keep record of bad parts and JIT scan.

KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Paintline Technician to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 2nd shift. 2nd shift individuals receive an hourly shift differential of $2.00. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment.

Job Duties:

Paintline Technicians are responsible for hanging parts/hooks on the paint line, taking hooks off as needed, applying the powder coat paint to the product, performing color changes and taping product coming off the paint line. The Paintline Technicians support the assembly cells and provide them with needed product to meet their final assembly schedules.

• Hang hooks and parts on the Paint line following the identified priorities


• Manually apply powder paint to production parts


• Perform paint color changeovers


• Tape parts coming down from the line to prevent scratches


• Inspect & pack parts off the line (assemble if necessary)


• Keep record of bad parts


• JIT scan

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

• Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Working in areas where it can get warm


• Working in a smoke free environment


• Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow

Shift:

• This is a 2nd Shift position


• Hours are 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday


• Overtime during our busy season


• Starting rate of pay is $19/hour plus a shift premium of $2.00/hour
