Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Store Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting in Fort Smith, AR. You will assist both retail and contractor customers with product recommendations, color matching, and order support.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales while maintaining a clean, organized store environment. Starting pay is $16/hour, with typical store hours across Monday–Friday, Saturday, and a Sunday closure.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license; pass background and physical.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient with a computer/keyboard for order processing.
• Flexible to work scheduled hours as needed.
• Lift up to 80 pounds occasionally; 40–60 pounds routinely.
• Ability to operate a hand truck / material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding needs and recommending products.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and orders.
• Mix, tint, and match paint to customer specs.
• Learn Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments via phone, in-person, online, and email.
• Support sales initiatives and help achieve store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver orders using company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalate when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities.
