Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in the United States is seeking a Delivery Driver to serve wholesale and retail customers, determine needs, answer questions, and deliver products from Sherwin-Williams stores. You will load, transport, and deliver items safely, maintain the vehicle, and support customers during service calls.

Responsibilities include assisting customers by phone and in person, processing transactions, following routes, and meeting sales goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must meet performance expectations and complete HR Cloud eLearning.
• Preferred: High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 year of delivery, retail, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
• Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures, when driving a vehicle.
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
