Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Pain Territory Business Manager to establish relationships with HCPs and promote JOURNAVX in acute pain. You will work with PTAMs to drive hospital and network access and lead territory plans to grow patient adoption.

You will need biotech sales experience, product launch success, and strong knowledge of formularies, access, and payer dynamics, with travel up to 80% and a US footprint driving compliance and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in biotech sales with product launch experience preferred.
• Launch experience in acute pain and diverse physician engagement desired.
• Experience engaging with retail pharmacies for stocking & pull-through.
• Experience pulling through inpatient formulary protocols and order sets.
• Strong territory, patient referral patterns and access understanding.
• Proficient in IT tools to support business needs, including Veeva CRM.
• Experience in a highly matrixed environment; Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with physicians to drive JOURNAVX adoption.
• Develop expertise on the product and educate HCPs on appropriate use.
• Map territory, stakeholders, and access drivers; navigate patient protocols.
• Implement strategic territory plans to identify growth opportunities.
• Drive sales forecasts and meet or exceed territory budgets.
• Collaborate with PTAMs, field medical, HEOR, IDN and payer teams.
• Model ethics and integrity in all activities and ensure compliance.
