Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Pain Territory Account Manager to build strategic relationships with institutional accounts and HCPs to promote JOURNAVX, a novel NaV1.8 inhibitor for acute pain. You will educate on product value and lead formulary engagement with decision makers and payer teams.

You will manage 15–20 institutions, report to a Regional Field Leader, and collaborate with Territory Business Managers and HQ to drive access, adoption and revenue. Travel up to 80% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of biotech sales experience.
• 3+ years of account management experience.
• Proven ability to navigate hospital institutions and engage formulary management.
• Experience implementing inpatient formularies, protocols and order sets.
• Strong IT skills including Veeva CRM.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with hospital accounts and key decision makers.
• Educate HCPs on product attributes and patient unmet needs.
• Navigate formulary processes and deliver value content for formulary inclusion.
• Develop strategic account plans and drive growth.
• Collaborate with field team and HQ to align business plans.
• Model ethics and integrity in a regulated environment.
