Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated seeks a Territory Business Manager for the JOURNAVX portfolio in the Washington and Idaho region, with substantial travel requirements. The TBM will build relationships with physicians, understand market dynamics, and drive adoption within hospital and community settings.

You will collaborate with PTAMs and headquarter teams to align business plans, navigate payer strategies, and ensure compliant, ethical engagement across stakeholders in a highly matrixed

Qualifications

• 5+ years in biotech sales; product launch experience desired
• Experience launching in acute pain and engaging diverse physicians
• Experience engaging with retail pharmacies for stocking and pull-through
• Experience with inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways, order sets
• Understanding patient treatment geography, care coordination, and referral patterns
• Proficient with IT tools to support business needs including Veeva CRM
• Experience in a highly matrixed environment
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with assigned physicians to promote JOURNAVX
• Develop product expertise and educate HCPs on use in appropriate patients
• Understand territory dynamics, stakeholder mapping, and access drivers/barriers
• Create and execute strategic territory business plans to grow hospital/health system volume
• Drive sales and ensure forecasts and budgets meet or exceed targets
• Collaborate with PTAMs, field medical, HEOR, and payer teams to align plans
• Model ethics and integrity consistent with compliance culture
