Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Pain Territory Account Manager to establish relationships with key institutional stakeholders and drive adoption of JOURNAVX in hospital settings.

You will develop strategic account plans, educate HCPs on product use, and navigate formulary processes across hospitals and networks, with substantial travel and collaboration with field teams.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of biotech sales experience.
• 3+ years of Account Management experience.
• Proven ability to navigate hospital systems and influence formulary decisions.
• Experience implementing inpatient formularies, protocols or order sets.
• Strong IT skills including Veeva CRM.
• Experience launching new products is a plus.
• Willing to travel up to 80% and work after hours.

Responsibilities

• Establishs meaningful and professional relationships within hospital accounts across multiple layers.
• Develops expertise on product attributes and educates HCPs on JOURNAVX use.
• Navigates formulary processes to achieve timely inclusion on formularies and pathways.
• Develops strategic account plans identifying opportunities for growth in hospital networks.
• Drives sales performance and aligns forecasts with territory budgets.
• Collaborates with Territory Business Managers and HQ to share best practices.
• Models ethics and integrity, maintaining compliance in all interactions.
