Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 1–3 years clerical experience in a physician office preferred.
• Computer knowledge such as Medical Office and Scheduling Applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for patients in office and by phone for doctors, testing, and procedures.
• Coordinate combined cases with tumor removal and plastic surgeon when applicable.
• Collaborate with Nurse navigation, Geneticists, Oncology, Surgery scheduling, Radiology and other departments.
• Update medical records accordingly and ensure clear, concise surgical scheduling communication.
• Perform general office duties and daily scanning of patient records into OnBase.
• Obtain appropriate authorization through patient insurance company.
