Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• Two years of scheduling experience in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow up/return visits for patients.
• Obtain appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients (e.g., interventional cardiology, electrophysiology).
• Discuss patient instructions for procedures to ensure clear understanding.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide instructions, followed by instruction letters.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, and online paging systems.
• Retrieve information from other hospital systems.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate friendly and helpful behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
