Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for Pain Clinic to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and ensure patient safety under supervision. The role supports OR, ER, fluoroscopy, and inpatient/outpatient populations, with emphasis on ALARA and high-quality image production.

The ideal candidate holds a two-year AMA-accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT certification or eligibility, MA Radiography license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Two year AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology is required.
• Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts: Radiation Control Program in Radiography.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to produce images for diagnosis and treatment.
• Obtains and documents patient information/history for exams.
• Documents IV/oral contrast usage in medical record.
• Uses RIS with accuracy for exam initiation and documentation.
• Labels images with patient info and technologist initials.
• Ensures QC of exams using PACS and maintains image quality.
• Maintains ALARA by applying the lowest necessary radiation.
• Willing to work off-sites and assist team to provide quality patient care.
• Maintains licensure annually and adheres to Lahey Clinic policies and customer service standards.
• Participates in departmental quality improvement activities.
