Job summary

Excellus BCBS offers a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns participate in development workshops, work on meaningful projects, and are mentored by managers. Tracks span across Business Administration, IT, Actuarial, Analytics & Data, and more.

Housing is not provided. This paid internship runs from June to August, up to 40 hours per week. Interns gain exposure to health equity initiatives, community health, and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic initiatives to improve community health outcomes through data-informed decision making and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with community health, program implementation, and evaluation teams to advance health equity and quality improvement.
• Develop and deliver educational programming for health equity awareness.
• Prepare and present findings and recommendations at project milestones.
