Job summary

Excellus BCBS is offering a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored, and participate in development workshops across tracks such as Analytics & Data, Finance, Marketing & Sales, IT, and more.

From June to August, interns gain exposure to real business challenges, attend development sessions, and present their work at the end. Housing is not provided. Remote work is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with proof of continuous college enrollment in a full-time program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to interact with staff at all levels.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of rate/Medicare bid filings and trend analyses.
• Prepare preliminary reserve and future claim liabilities for internal/regulatory reporting.
• Support risk sharing analyses, capitation development, and settlements.
• Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and other analyses.
• Create and deliver presentations; work with a mentor on strategic projects.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in line with company values.
