Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan Inc. offers a 10-week paid Summer College Internship designed for undergraduates and graduates. Interns attend development workshops, work on meaningful projects, and are mentored by managers, with exposure to non-technical and technical tracks across business areas.

The program runs from June to August, up to 40 hours per week. Housing is not provided. Remote work possible on a case-by-case basis; strong emphasis on integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree in computing, IT, math, data science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in OOP and knowledge of Java, Python, VBScript, SQL, Agile methodologies, and software testing.
• High school diploma with continuous college enrollment and active full-time student status.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to interact across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Code development for test automation and managing test result artifacts.
• Synthetic data creation using in-house tools.
• Code reviews, requirements reviews, and documentation.
• Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects.
• Complete work assignments based on business needs and departmental priorities.
• Perform a mix of technical and non-technical tasks across business projects.
• Create and deliver presentations at internship completion.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold company values.
