Job summary

Target is offering a Stores Executive Intern program designed to give hands-on leadership experience in a store environment. You will work closely with an Executive Team Lead mentor to learn daily operations, guest service, merchandising, and team development.

The internship provides real responsibilities, including leading team members, driving guest experience, and collaborating with store leadership to achieve goals. Strong interest in retail leadership and customer service is expected.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and team culture experience.
• Strong guest engagement and problem solving.
• Understanding of retail business fundamentals and store operations.
• Ability to plan workloads and manage a team to meet priorities.
• Experience in recruiting and talent development of hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the sales floor and backroom leading team members.
• Work with ETL mentor to understand leadership roles.
• Lead daily priorities (stocking, safety, guest experience).
• Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members.
• Set goals and communicate expectations with store leadership.
• Review business reports and guest insights to identify improvement opportunities.
