Job summary

Unum is offering a 10-week paid internship program designed for rising seniors and first-year graduate students to explore a career in sales and client management.

You will be immersed in our culture, work on real projects, and present outcomes to business leaders at the end of the summer. Mentors will guide you, and resume writing/interview prep support is provided as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program.
• Preference given to rising seniors and first year graduate students.
• Competitive GPA is preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and involvement in extracurricular activities.
• Shows genuine interest in sales and client management and the insurance industry.
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel software.
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed on project work.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Available to work approximately 40 hours per week during regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Work under mentoring to learn the lifecycle of a Unum case and contribute to project work.
• Participate in workshops and information sessions to build professional skills.
• Assist with prospecting, quoting, enrollment, onboarding, and relationship management activities.
• Prepare for capstone presentation by analyzing a business case with mentors.
