Job summary

Target offers an Operations Intern program in its Supply Chain Facilities, a paid 40 hr./week hands-on training to develop leadership. You’ll work with managers and teammates, learning to lead, motivate, and influence a team, including the chance to lead a department.

During the internship, you’ll gain insight into Target’s supply chain functions, safety prioritization, and productivity goals while receiving extensive mentoring and structured training from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams and coordinating tasks within a retail or distribution environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and leaders.
• Interest in developing leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members on daily priorities and shift goals.
• Support operations, safety, and quality standards on the floor.
• Collaborate with mentors to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist planning and coordination of department workload and resources.
• Participate in daily planning meetings and provide performance updates.
• Help recruit and coach team members to develop leadership capabilities.
