Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is offering a summer Account Management Internship at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. The 11-week immersion provides real-world experience with paid job training and potential housing support.

You will manage customer accounts, coordinate loads, track shipments, and work with internal teams to resolve issues while learning industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Logistics/Transportation, Management or Marketing.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to understand account management and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong research and analytical skills with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a customer account as the primary point of contact for inquiries and issues.
• Coordinate transportation of goods: schedule loads, pickups, deliveries, and tracking.
• Proactively communicate with customers about load status and concerns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Complete a group project with other summer interns as directed by the Director of Implementation.
