Werner Enterprises, Inc. is offering a summer Account Management Internship at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. The 11-week immersion provides real-world experience with paid job training and potential housing support.

You will manage customer accounts, coordinate loads, track shipments, and work with internal teams to resolve issues while learning industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Logistics/Transportation, Management or Marketing.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to understand account management and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong research and analytical skills with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a customer account as the primary point of contact for inquiries and issues.
• Coordinate transportation of goods: schedule loads, pickups, deliveries, and tracking.
• Proactively communicate with customers about load status and concerns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Complete a group project with other summer interns as directed by the Director of Implementation.

Internship Overview:* Paid internship that includes dedicated job training and learning opportunities* Located at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska (some remote and off-site opportunities may be available)* Collaborative, inclusive work environment* Real-world experience* Paid housing/housing assistance may be available Responsibilities:* Manage a customer account, or accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all account management-related inquiries and issues.* Coordinate the transportation of goods, including scheduling loads, arranging pickups and deliveries, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.* Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates on load status, address any concerns or issues, and ensure overall satisfaction.* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues and ensure smooth execution of transportation services.* Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency, both internally and for customers.* Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve service offerings and remain competitive in the market.* Complete a group project with the other summer interns as specified by the Director of Implementation.* Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
