Job summary

Labcorp in San Diego, CA, offers a Lab Intern position with a Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm schedule and a 40-hour work week. The 11-week paid internship runs June 1–August 13, 2027, for rising juniors/seniors pursuing related degrees. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $22 per hour.

Interns shadow professionals, assist with routine tasks, and participate in mock testing while gaining real-world experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), PTO/FTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program.
• Demonstrates interest in laboratory science and diagnostics industry.
• Shows attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
