Job summary

Labcorp in San Diego, CA seeks a Lab Intern to join the Cytology/Histology team. You will shadow professionals, learn diagnostic workflows, assist with non-testing tasks, and support projects under supervision.

Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology bachelor’s program is required. The 11-week full-time internship runs June 1 to August 13, 2027; pay ranges from $17.75 to $22 per hour with emphasis on accuracy and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills; written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
