Job summary

SMP/Eastlake is seeking a co-op student in Wickliffe, OH, to work on assignments related to computer science or engineering education. The role provides progressively responsible tasks and hands-on experience in IT support.

You will apply classroom knowledge to real-world problems, identify and fix computer and network issues, and participate in daily department meetings and team projects. Housing or travel stipends may be available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer hardware.
• Basic knowledge of computer networking.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or VB.Net is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply school principles to hands-on situations.
• Handle performance goals with increasing responsibility.
• Identify and fix computer and network problems.
• Attend and participate in daily departmental meetings.
• Own identified projects and participate in project teams.
• Work within specifications to meet project goals.
• Collaborate with peers and other departments on product development and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot computers, printers, and networks; fix hardware issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10 and Office; printer repair and troubleshooting.
