Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps Member in Kansas is a full-time, entry-level coaching and mentoring role focused on helping students achieve academic success and improve attendance. You will work with elementary to high school students, plan progress, and collaborate with teachers on instruction and student support.

You will receive training, benefits, and a living stipend while contributing to school-wide initiatives and community programs throughout the year.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma (or higher) required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Be able to begin City Year by July/August 2025.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success.
• Plan and monitor student progress; support teachers in class.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group coaching and behavior guidance.
• Contribute to extended day and after-school programs and events.
