Job summary

City Year in Kansas City is hiring an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor as a City Year AmeriCorps member. You’ll coach and mentor elementary to high school students, helping them achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors.

You’ll work with teachers on in-class instruction and student support across the school day. We provide 2–4 weeks of initial training, ongoing coaching from school staff, and a bi-weekly living stipend with AmeriCorps benefits.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic outcomes and attendance
• Plan and monitor progress, collaborate with teachers
• Assist with whole class instruction and in-class student support
• Support after-school and enrichment programs
