Fire Solutions, Inc. in St. Louis, MO invites motivated undergraduates to join as a Summer 2027 intern.

Shadow Project Engineers, Project Managers, Estimators and Safety Professionals to gain hands-on experience from concept through closeout on national-scale projects. You will support scheduling, cost management, safety initiatives, and documentation while learning construction principles and preconstruction planning.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a flexible, collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Creative, results-driven, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Prior internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5 million or more (design-build experience preferred).
• Committed to upholding and promoting a Safety-First culture.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of navigating active construction sites, including walking, climbing ladders, and accessing multi‑floor scaffolding
• Fast‑paced work environment—appropriate job site footwear and attire required
• Projects are located nationwide; travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules
• Support the creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities
• You will have leadership and guidance to support project teams throughout all phases
