Job summary

Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 internship in St. Louis, MO. As an Intern you will shadow Project Engineers, Project Managers, Estimators, and Safety Professionals, contributing to projects from concept to closeout with on-site exposure and safety training.

You will gain hands-on experience, collaborate on schedules and budgets, and support project documentation. Travel nationwide may be required; prior internship or design-build exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university (college course load required).
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Creative, results-driven, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Prior internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5 million or more (design-build experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Support creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities.
