Job summary

TW Constructors in St. Louis offers a paid internship for Summer 2027 where you will shadow experienced project engineers, managers, estimators, and safety pros. You'll participate in site visits, gain hands-on experience, and receive safety training while supporting project teams from concept through closeout.

This role develops construction fundamentals, emphasizes collaboration, and may involve travel nationwide as projects span across the country.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Prior internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5 million or more (design-build experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Support the creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery; contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities.
• You will have leadership and guidance to support project teams throughout all phases.
