Mechanical Solutions, Inc. invites applicants for a Summer 2027 Internship in St. Louis, MO.

You’ll shadow Project Engineers, Project Managers, Estimators, and Safety Professionals, supporting projects from conception to closeout. Expect hands-on work, site visits, and comprehensive safety training. You will build client and subcontractor relationships, assist with schedules and budgets, and help manage change orders, RFIs, and documentation while gaining leadership exposure across project

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a flexible, collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Committed to upholding and promoting a Safety-First culture.
• Projects are located nationwide; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Support the creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities.
• You will have leadership and guidance to support project teams throughout all phases.
