Interns will work on high-speed manufacturing lines with lithium-ion battery technology alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at a four-year college or university.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Demonstrated experience solving hands-on engineering problems with clear articulation of methods.
• Familiarity with lithium-ion battery chemistry.
• Good understanding of basic manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Improve battery cell manufacturing processes for mass production lines with a focus on safety, quality and productivity.
• Design and test improvements for existing production lines to enhance process efficiency.
• Analyze machine and test data to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Evaluate operating procedures and equipment functions to reduce time and cost of manufacturing.
• Provide engineering support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with team members to understand failure modes and improve equipment performance.
