Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is offering an Arborist Trainee Internship in South Londonderry, Vermont. This field-based internship begins in Spring-Summer 2027, with 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Student studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design or Forestry.
• Interest in proper tree care and arboriculture.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing and maintenance tasks.
• Operate field equipment safely, including chainsaws and chippers.
• Assist with Plant Health Care activities and soil care.
• Support service delivery and client satisfaction in residential settings.
• Exposure to day-to-day operations and business side of Davey.
