Job summary
The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an internship for Spring-Summer 2027 in North Ridgeville, OH. You will work on-site alongside Arborists and landscape professionals, learning field-based tree care skills and client service while earning hourly pay. Expect 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some Saturdays.
A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is a plus. The program offers hands-on training, safety emphasis, and opportunities for career development within the Davey
Qualifications
- Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline.
- Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license a plus.
Responsibilities
- Learn to be a tree care professional in the field, working with experienced Arborists and other pros to deliver client service and maintain tree & landscape health.
- Assist with tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, maintenance, and tree/landscape installation.
- Operate equipment safely, including chainsaws and chippers, under supervision.
- Gain exposure to Plant Health Care, including deep root fertilization and soil care.
- Develop client service, sales, management, and leadership fundamentals.
