Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Patient Educator to apply clinical skills in educating patients and caregivers about PAH therapies, including infusion training and clinical support. The role blends home infusion care with travel to patients’ homes, primarily within IA with some travel to neighboring states.

The position requires an IA RN license, 2+ years in critical care or high-tech home infusion, CPR certification, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

Must reside within one hour of Des Moines International Airport.
RN with an unrestricted license in IA with ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
Two years of critical care/acute care infusion experience or two years of high-tech home infusion experience.
Ability to build positive relationships with medical/clinical personnel.
Ability to travel as required by business needs.
CPR certification current; valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
On-call participation as determined by staffing needs.

Responsibilities

Consult with physicians, clinicians, pharmacy operations and sales to coordinate patient care.
Operate in a specialized nursing home infusion setting with patient autonomy.
Assist patients initiating or transitioning to infused or inhaled PAH therapies.
Develop strong relationships with patients and caregivers one-on-one.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal customer service and advanced computer skills.
Participate in on-call rotations as required by business needs.
