Job summary

Corewell Health's Troy Hospital is seeking a part-time CNA to join the Post-Surgical Care Unit. You will provide patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, perform clerical tasks, and help maintain unit operations on a day shift (7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., Monday to Friday).

This role emphasizes strong assessment, critical thinking and decision-making in a fast-paced unit, with orientation and ongoing safety training provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas and documents in EMR.
• Acts as receptionist and organizes daily work assignments based on unit priorities.
• Participates in safety initiatives and completes unit safety competencies.
