Job summary

Corewell Health in Troy, MI is seeking a Full-time Night shift CNA observer on the Med Surg Care Unit 6W. You will provide patient care under RN direction, assist with safety, and support unit operations with documentation in the EMR.

This role may include transporting patients, helping with care plans, and monitoring patients as needed on a hybrid of direct and remote observation techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a hospital or nursing facility preferred.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under RN supervision.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, including remote video monitoring.
• Perform reception and clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
