Job summary

Corewell Health’s Troy Hospital is seeking a Part-time Observer for the Rehab Unit 7W to assist with patient care under RN direction, support safe transport, and perform clerical duties. This role requires involvement in admission/discharge processes and daily documentation in the EMR.

The position is nights, 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 24 hours per week with weekend rotation; orientation lasts a full week. CNA/BSL credentials and prior hospital experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CNA certification preferred; BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in hospital or nursing home settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per the plan of care and unit policy under RN direction.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and assist with observation needs.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record and perform general receptionist/clerical duties.
