Job summary

Corewell Health's Troy Hospital is seeking a part-time Observer/Nurse Aide for the 6CCT cardiac ICU. You will provide patient care under RN direction, assist with routine tasks, and help ensure safety during shifts.

The role includes documenting care in the EMR, transporting patients as needed, and supporting the unit with reception and clerical duties. Night shift hours 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday through Sunday, with weekends on a rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospitals or nursing homes preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care according to plan of care and unit policy under RN supervision.
• Safe transport of patients and appropriate documentation of services.
• Provide Observer services for patients requiring constant observation, in person or via remote monitoring.
• Perform receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.

Skills

Experience in hospital or nursing home

BLS within 30 days

CNA certification preferred

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
