Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Perianesthesia (PACU) team at University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank Campus and Masonic Children's Hospital. The PACU RN assesses, plans, delivers, and evaluates care for pre- and post-operative patients, coordinating with the care team.

The role requires minimum 2 years' PACU/ICU/critical care experience, MN RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years current RN experience in PACU, ICU, IMC or other critical care areas.
• Current MN RN License.
• BLS certification at time of hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborate with patient, family and health team to develop a comprehensive plan of care.
• Develop individualized plans based on age, condition and needs.
• Evaluate care and patient response to interventions and outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patient, family and health care team across settings.
• Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement to enhance outcomes.
