Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct patient care in the Gonda 15 Surgical Services Outpatient Procedure Center. You will coordinate perianesthesia care, provide moderate sedation under the direction of the Anesthesiologist, and educate patients and families in the outpatient setting.

The RN supports professional practice, mentors peers, and may cross-train to other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of professional RN experience is required.
• New graduate RN pathways available via Nurse Residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the outpatient setting.
• Coordinate pre/post-op and perianesthesia care, including moderate sedation.
• Educate patients and families and orient peers.
• Lead and participate in nursing practice activities and quality improvement.
• May cross-train to other areas as needed.
