Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care in a PRN role with on-call coverage. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond quickly to complications while coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

The ideal candidate will be an RN with an Associate Degree, current licensure, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS or be able to obtain PALS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• RN license required with current state licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• PALS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU.
• Monitor airway, neurological, and cardiac status post-operatively.
• Respond promptly to complications and communicate changes to the care team.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff to ensure safe recovery.
