Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse for PRN daytime shifts with on-call responsibilities. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and coordinate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety during recovery.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, rapid assessment, and collaboration with CNAs, Techs, and charge nurses. A current RN license and ADN are required, with BSN preferred; ACLS/BCLS/PALS certifications

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• RN registration with ADN required; BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care in PACU
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe recovery
• Monitor patients' neurological and cardiac status and respond promptly to changes
• Provide initial wound care and document patient conditions and care provided
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and follow-up measures
